Nhichancanh is deeply fond of Peppermint oil, since mosquito bites and motion sickness are frequent for the artist. Dầu gió is like a miraculous elixir, used as if it were a magical remedy, so Nhichancanh often draws or carves… Dầu gió. However, while earlier prints of Dầu gió were more basic, the artist has now added Lý - Trần motifs, evoking both the graceful dances of Lý - Trần court maidens and a strong sense of national heritage.

"Rubbing Rich" plays on the Vietnamese homophones: "Rich" hope "Rich", "Oil" hope "Oil" (Giàu- Dầu). The message of "Rich" is a combination of Dầu gió, Giấy dó, and Lý - Trần motifs. With the integration of Lý - Trần patterns, Nhichancanh intends for the artwork to be placed in a space that is both ancient and evocative. Lý - Trần motifs are often soft, flowing, and symbolic of lightness and grace while retaining majesty. This combination can be understood as a “bridge”: Giấy dó connected with craft villages and rustic life; Lý - Trần motifs tied to the court, beliefs, and the refined aesthetic spirit of the dynasty.
