A mindful printmaking retreat with Leap And Linger. Our studio is actually just a cozy 18-square-meter room, tucked away in a quiet alley, completely separated from the hustle and bustle of Hanoi's Old Quarter. When you book a session, this entire little space is exclusively yours (1:1) or your group's (up to 3 people). No strangers, just quietness and art.

You don't need any prior art experience at all. We will sit right by your side and guide you through every little step: from sketching your idea, the rhythmic carving, to the magical moment of revealing your print. We'll print your artwork onto a canvas tote bag, traditional Vietnamese Dó paper, or delicate Chinese Xuan paper and more...

If you have a plain notebook or a t-shirt you'd like to print on, feel free to bring it along! We will gladly show you how to print your design beautifully on them!

What's Included

  • A Peaceful Corner: Warm tea, mineral water, and unlimited snacks to munch on while we work.
  • Studio Tools: Full access to our best printmaking equipment (professional carving knives, aprons, brayers, premium inks...).
  • Professional Photography: We will quietly document your creative process with a professional camera and send you all the high-resolution photos afterward.
  • What You Take Home: Your original sketches, all your prints (even the drafts!), and the linoleum block you carved yourself.
  • Ongoing Support: Even after the workshop, if you try carving at home and get stuck, just drop us a message. We are always happy to help.

What's Not Included

  • Shipping fees: Only applicable if you prefer us to securely pack and mail your finished pieces to your address instead of taking them with you.
  • Extra art supplies: If you fall in love with the printmaking process, we have professional carving tools, inks, and traditional papers available for purchase at the studio so you can continue the craft at home.
  • Ordering additional prints: You will hand-print your own pieces during the session. However, if you'd like us to help print a larger batch of your design (for example, to give as gifts or greeting cards), there will be a small additional material fee.

Time & Location

  • Duration: A minimum of 2.5 hours. But we never rush or watch the clock. Take all the time you need until you are truly happy with your work.
  • "Come Back for Free" Policy: Sometimes a design is too detailed to finish in one sitting. That's perfectly fine! You can leave it here and come back the next day, or whenever you are free, to finish it. It's 100% free of charge.
  • Hours: 09:00 - 18:00 | Monday to Saturday. (Please book in advance so we can prepare the space for you).
  • Our Studio: No. 11, Alley 183 Dang Tien Dong, Dong Da, Hanoi.

The Artisan Experience

We don't run crowded, typical classes. In this small 18m² room, the only noise you'll hear is the satisfying, soft sound of the carving tool. We believe this is a rare chance to truly disconnect from your screens, let your hands get a little inky, and let your mind rest completely.

Policies & Little Notes

  • Cancellations & Refunds: Because our studio space is very limited and we carefully prepare materials, warm tea, and the space specifically for your private session, all bookings are strictly non-refundable (including no-shows). We truly appreciate your understanding!
  • Rescheduling: We completely understand that life happens! If you need to change your date, please send us a message at least 12 hours in advance. We will happily help you reschedule your session to another available date at no extra charge.
  • Running Late: Traffic in Hanoi can be tricky, so if you are running 15-20 minutes late, please don't stress or rush, just travel safely! However, please note that the session will still need to end at the scheduled time out of respect for the next guests and our studio hours.
