Vietnamese Kirin Head- Linocut Print
Vietnamese Kirin Head- Linocut Print
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This is a linocut print featuring the Kirin, one of the four sacred creatures (Tứ Linh) in Vietnamese culture. The Kirin symbolizes peace and prosperity.
In Vietnam, during the Mid-Autumn Festival or Lunar New Year, people often organize Kirin dances to create a traditional festive atmosphere, ward off evil spirits, and bring luck and blessings to households.
The Kirin dance typically involves 2-3 performers. Depending on the length of the costume, one person wears the Kirin's head while others carry the body. Kirin heads are also sold in various sizes, often displayed as decorations during the Mid-Autumn Festival, highlighting another unique aspect of this celebration.
Through this artwork, Nhichancanh wishes for everyone to take charge of their lives, to lead with strength and happiness, just like the Vietnamese Kirin Head.
