The “Bông” ceramic earrings are part of the RUSSET Earring Collection. Like the other earrings in the collection, “Bông” carries deep meaning for Nhichancanh. “Bông” can mean a flower, and it also refers to the cotton plant, which is essential for making fabric and clothing. For Nhichancanh, just like for every Vietnamese person, “Bông” represents each individual flower within the vast garden of Vietnam. (“Bông” holds so many meanings and nuances that no single English word can fully convey it).

Ceramic earrings from this collection belong to the RUSSET Earring Collection, inspired by the earthy brown of traditional Vietnamese áo bà ba garments. The designs draw from elements deeply familiar to Vietnamese people and their history, such as rice plants, the moon, cotton flowers, and more. Nhichancanh aims to bring Vietnamese earrings that are simple, humble, gentle, and proud- just like the Vietnamese people themselves.

Exclusive rustic ceramic stud earrings by Leap And Linger, originally designed and 100% handcrafted by artist Nhichancanh.
The uniqueness of this piece lies in its natural red stoneware ceramic, boasting a deep, raw brown hue. Unlike smooth white clay, this material embraces a rustic texture, occasionally revealing natural mineral grains. While traditional red clay is usually fired at lower temperatures, we intentionally fire these pieces at a demanding 1,260°C to ensure exceptionally high quality and durability.
This high-temperature firing, combined with an unglazed finish, results in a rich, slightly toasted brown surface that beautifully preserves the artist's fingerprints and the earth's raw texture. Thoroughly tested, these earrings are waterproof and completely colorfast.
Because they are entirely handmade, each pair is a one-of-a-kind creation with natural variations influenced by humidity, clay texture, and kiln temperature. Every pair comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, personally signed by Nhichancanh x Leap And Linger!

SPECIFICATIONS

Stud Diameter: 0.7cm - 1.3cm (Please allow a 0.2cm - 0.3cm margin of error due to the natural shrinkage of high-fired handmade ceramics).
Material: Red stoneware ceramic (sourced from Bat Trang pottery village, Vietnam). Unglazed finish.
Hardware: Hypoallergenic stainless steel posts, securely attached to the ceramic with UV Resin.
Included Backings: 1 pair of stainless steel butterfly clutches and 1 pair of silicone backings (perfect for sensitive skin or as a spare).
Origin: Vietnam.

Avoid hard impacts: Although high-fired for extra durability, ceramic jewelry can still chip or break if dropped or knocked against hard surfaces (door handles, tables, tile, metal, concrete, etc.). Please handle with care and cautiously clean up any sharp pieces if breakage occurs.
Prevent scratches: Avoid rubbing the ceramic surface against other sharp or hard materials to maintain its unique raw texture.
Safe storage: When not in use, store your earrings safely in your Leap And Linger box or a soft pouch to prevent damage or loss.
