We firmly say no to industrial ceramic slip-casting (which often results in brittle and fragile pieces). By hand-building from solid clay, our jewelry is exceptionally durable. (However, as it is still an authentic ceramic piece, please handle it with care and avoid dropping it on hard surfaces like tile or concrete).

The Masterful Craft & Unique Clay Blend: Crafting miniature ceramic jewelry is incredibly intricate and time-consuming compared to standard tableware, with a notably high failure rate in the kiln. The uniqueness of this necklace lies in the meticulous blending of High-Grade White Clay (高白泥) from Jingdezhen and natural Red Clay from Vietnam. This specific combination is the result of our rigorous selection process to ensure the highest quality, creating a beautifully rustic texture.

High-Temperature Firing & Vitrification: While traditional red clay is usually fired at lower temperatures (making it less durable and prone to water absorption), we intentionally fire these pieces at a demanding 1260°C. Although this high heat increases the failure rate during crafting, the clay successfully vitrifies, becoming exceptionally strong, waterproof, and colorfast. Combined with an unglazed finish, it results in a rich, slightly toasted brown surface that beautifully preserves the artist's fingerprints and the earth's raw texture.
