As its title suggests, "Condensed Milk" is certainly inspired by the can of very popular Condensed Milk in Viet Nam. This famous condensed milk is an entire childhood memory for Nhichancanh, and the artist believes it is the same for many others. For Nhichancanh, childhood was filled with countless spoonfuls of condensed milk eaten directly without mixing. When waiting for his father to come home from work, he would hold a small can of milk taken from a six-pack, finish it, and then his father would arrive. In the mornings, while his parents were still asleep, he would sneak into the kitchen to scoop a few spoonfuls of milk...

As for the water puppetry part, every time passing by Tô Tịch street, Nhichancanh always wanted to buy a water puppet. Water puppetry is a beautiful and unique form of performance in Vietnam, yet Nhichancanh never had an artwork featuring it. And since condensed milk mixed with water tastes delicious (though not water from the puppetry stage), Nhichancanh created and carved the print "Condensed Milk", featuring Mr Thọ, characters as water puppets, and a water puppet background. The quote wishes for longevity, being both delicious and nourishing.
